The Ant and the Grasshopper (蚂蚁与蚱蜢)

Once upon a time, there was a lazy grasshopper who loved to play all day and never thought of working hard. One day, he saw an ant busily collecting food for the winter and thought to himself, "How silly this ant is! I have a much better life than he does. Why work so hard?"

So the grasshopper continued to play and enjoy himself while the ant worked hard every day. When winter came, the grasshopper found himself with nothing to eat and no place to stay. He had to ask the ant for help. "Please help me," he begged. "I have no food or shelter."

"Sorry," replied the ant. "I can't help you now. During the summer, you played while I worked hard collecting food for the winter. Now it's too late for you to learn the importance of working hard."

The story tells us that we should not be lazy and waste time because even a little work done today may save us from trouble tomorrow.

The Donkey and the Well (驴子和井)

Once upon a time, a donkey was thirsty and walked to a well. He looked down into the well and saw the water below him. However, he couldn't reach the water because his neck was too short. He decided to find a way to get the water without drinking it.

The donkey noticed some large boulders nearby and thought, "If I push these boulders into the well, the water level will rise and I can drink it." So he did as he planned and pushing the boulders into the well one by one. The water level did indeed rise, and the donkey was finally able to drink the water.

Later, a friend came to visit him and saw the boulders in the well. "What are these boulders doing here?" he asked the donkey.

"Oh, they're just some stones I pushed into the well to
